Wakefield will almost certainly be back in Super League next season - the DR can't then continue.
Maybe Fev see it as a cheaper way to enhance the size of their squad?
We know only too well the perils of DR by the way ours didn't work with Hull. Maybe Wigan and Hull KR will play ball better than Hull FC did? Hull KR have had numerous DR partners over the years.
If used properly, both of the above probably won't make life any easier for us in 2024 but I don't suppose Wakefield and Featherstone are the types of teams we'll be hoping to beat to stay up.
I disagree i think wakey know it's gonna be one of the toughest championships and this decision tells you they are hell bent on going up this season. It's laughable in the way of them being super league rivals for many seasons but wakey won't care about that if they are back in super league next season. We all know you can get stuck in the championship vortex if you don't come straight back up so for me this agreement is a total win win for wakey.
