Next season in my eyes will be the most competitive championship to date, some of the players competing in our division next year are eye watering. Greg eden, jermaine mcgillvary, Greg minikin, Richie myler to name a few. Realistically we have 5/6 teams we have to look to take points from because the elite are levels above, it's not been a disaster with the few signings we've made but 2/3 big name players are still required or it's going to be a long hard season (briscoe would be a fantastic signing). Just scanning through the middle of the road clubs from last season like Halifax, York, Bradford it's unbelievable the talent they have, really hope the club are not underestimating the challenge we have on our hands next season.

Yep, it's going to be one hell of a league next season. We've still got a few new signings to be announced according to what the club said previously. They'll need to be good uns.

Last season:

9th Widnes 27, 26
10th Swinton, 27, 18
11th Barrow 27, 17
12th Whitehaven 27, 16

The battle at the bottom might be between Swinton, Barrow, Whitehaven, Dons and Dewsbury.

Can we sign enough players of sufficient quality to feel comfortable we will be of a similar standard to Widnes and be competitive with those in the top eight? It's a tough ask.

For me it's all about staying in this league, yeah I'd love us to make massive signing statements and be on par with the likes of Bradford and Halifax but I'd be happy with good solid players that will keep us up then we can add to that season after season. Signings so far have been alright but if we don't add 3 more of same/better quality i fear for us. I agree with you about the 4 teams we will be battling with but we don't seem to get the results in cumbria so our home form is going to be vital. Could do with a big signing soon to get that whelm factor up again .

regardless of what anyone says about "more than just surviving", survival is still my number one goal. Make sure there are 2 worse teams than us then try and kick on from there.

I love the championship, it's easily my favourite level of the game to watch. It is brutal at times, I watched the Fev v London play off game and thought "I don't want to be promoted anymore, it's terrifying".

I am happy with recruitment so far, and it needs to carry on at that level at least. Not sure if the training is changing at all, I had it in my head they were training more often now but can't remember if I dreamt that

I read somewhere that they're increasing training from twice a week to three times.

Third from bottom will do but it'd be nice if the two teams below us weren't breathing down our necks!
