Pleased with this signing...

He might be getting on a bit but can play on the wing, in the centres and at full-back. Always thought he's the type of player that gives 100% and the sort you'd rather have playing for you as opposed to against you.

Here we go again with VERSATILE! There's no doubting he was a class player in fact he featured in many of my super league dream teams over the years but handing a 2yr deal to a player who's 35 who plays on the fringes goes against what i thought we would try to do, halliday apart were not blessed with genuine pace so a little surprised with this.

Forgot to add that he's also a decent goal-kicker. We need cover for Connor Robinson as I don't think Watson Boas is good enough for the job.

I mentioned before that I'm not a big fan of versatile players as they can to be 'jack of all trades and master of none'. I don't think this is the case with Craig Hall. He's very good in plenty of positions.

He'll be good at driving the ball out from our own line too at 6 ft 4 and nearly 15 stones. We need that too.

I for one am very happy with this, quality player who can play anywhere across the back line so his versatility is a major plus for me. He can kick goals so if Robbo got injured then we would be OK on that front. He maybe 35 but judging from what I have seen last year he can still go the length and he is an intercept king. Will also be useful when attacking and defending kicks. Bags of exerperience too

A number of Featherstone fans across forums etc would have very gladly kept him and felt he has been unfortunate

Personally i think a 35yr old getting a 2yr contract is very fortunate
