Cant believe they have sacked him after all he did last season , they were never going to set the world alight in the Championship, but they are holding their own in what is a rough division.

I fear some ulterior motive here.

With all the hoo ha around their objection to IMG and the sudden planning application for a new stand, the selling of Gale ( apparently if rumours are correct to play the teams wages from the fee received) I fear that they will use these factors to exit the Cougars and blame numerous issues other than the fact they don't have the fan base, have one of the most delapidated stadiums in the whole of RL or financial resources to compete at the top end of the division.

They bought the league last year paying players well over the odds and now they have splashed out on the likes of Gale ,Crookes, Ioane all on a rumoured minimum of £50k each and lay 9th after a drubbing by the impressive Seagulls.
Lewis Young who has been their best player all season is out injured for ten weeks so lets see what happens in a month or two.
After magic weekend they have five games against the lower ranked sides which will definitely define their season.

I agree. Something's not right.

Any team that gets promoted from our league ought to have a two-year plan to stabilise in the much more competitive Championship. By all means invest money but don't expect to sail through the Championship like you can in League One. Rhys Lovegrove didn't deserve to get sacked after all he's done for them.

If we get promoted, I'll be delighted if we avoid the bottom four in year one. Getting into the top half is a good aim for season two.

Not sure if the Keighley owners are naive or have badly misjudged the situation.

Thank you for the insight. Fanfair owners turn into Funfair owners.
