Challenge Cup time this weekend, Oldham had a bye week last week so we've not had chance to have a look at them. On paper they have recruited substantially since last season (many of which did the hop from Rochale), but they seem to be short on numbers in the front row. With that being where a lot of us see we come up short it's far to see it's unlikely to be a game for the big lads

I'm always torn on the cup now, we're obviously not going to win it, but the way it's formatted we're pretty unlikely to get a game against one of Super League's bog boys either.

Exactly. Injury free from the game will be the bonus and reading the Oldham forum some of their fans are in the same thought process. Nice to win it and hopefully play well, if we play well and lose its not the end of the World.

Not going...waste of time and money.
It's a game though in a season when there are a pitiful number of league games.
So a day out...
Can't see there being much of a crowd particularly after last week's effort.

The squad announcement shows that Jason Tali is being replaced from last Sundays squad that he wasn't even in. No information last week or this on what the problem is.Typical rubbish of a lack of communication in keeping fans informed about why the best player is absent.Maybe one of the clique knows something.

From the Free Press: Centre Jason Tali, who was carrying a knock at the weekend, could again sit the game out and fellow PNG international Watson Boas, whose future at the club appears to be in doubt, will definitely be missing.

Why risk Tali for a go no where cup game, bigger fish to fry for the League campaign.

What's the crowd going to be today? We might be struggling to get 350.

It was good to hear Jemmo's Tweet get a mention on the BBC yesterday in the Cornwall v Rochdale Mayfield game.

Rochdale Mayfield - with 40-year-old Sean Penkywicz in their ranks - beat a Cornwall side that unfortunately looked no better than last season.
