Managed to get to the game via train and bus but well worth it as the Dons blew Whitehaven away with not much help from Ronnie Laughton the ref . Just shows how a smaller team can beat a bigger outfit on the day if they tackle in packs. To be fair the Dons finnishing was spot on and punnished Havens mistakes every time leaving their noisy supporters shellshocked. 36 14 was a fair reflection of the game so it looks like Rochdale next week. If the Dons play like today they can go all the way.
a tremendous display today, must have been one of the best defensive/tackling displays for some time against those big Haven forwards who could make no headway and when Dons spread the ball out to the backs their forwards could not find the pace to make the cover tackles. If we can play as well next week against Rochdale we should be in with a great chance of winning. Keep spreading the ball to the backs and tries will come
A great performance from team all 17 of them. The forwards stood upto the bullyboy Whiehaven pack. we played some good rugby and scored some cracking tries.
