I'm thinking of putting together a fancy typographic book-type-thing about the Dons history, like a print version of the video I did. It could possibly become a 60th anniversary book.

If possible I would like to include some memories from fans. Obviously promotion to The Big League etc will be in there somewhere but I'm more interested in any unusual or slightly different memories people might have. Such as when the bus broke down at Whitehaven or the trip to South Wales when the game was called off.

So if you have any particular memories of following the Dons please post them here or pm me them. I've got plenty of my own so you lot must have a fair few between you.

When the posts blew down in a downpour against York at Belle Vue.
That was funny.
'Has anyone got a hacksaw?' was the plea over the public address system.

Remember the final whistle and running onto the pitch at the Batley promotion winning game.

Remember a certain young lad :) being served with strong larger in large beer glasses from a tent at the Toulouse game------ way before he was old enough to drink in the uk.

Remember when we had more fans than Donny Rovers

The celebrations after Gaz Handfords try at St. Helens in the cup were another mental one that I can rememer, as well as Gaz's massive up and under at Oldham, which Craig Miles caught after some sort of superman effort in midair.

Victory away at Rochdale in 2002 when playing something like 70 minutes a man short (Paul Mansson sent off). Players and supporters celebrating together at the end of the match behind one of the sets of posts and Jamie Fielden in tears.

The Keighley away comeback a few years ago, with Neil Bennett getting hatrick in dying minutes was awesome.

The weekend away in Whitehaven, playing touch rugby on a tiny stretch of beach, finding a match ball floating in the harbour fishing it out with some nifty DIY skills. Boring any player that would listen with the tale as they signed it...

The bus breaking down in Haven spending the night playing touch rugby, with karoke, free bar and chips....

The weekend away in Blackpool as we celebrated our ever first final :D

Singe jumping over the railings at Featherstone as he thought we were in trouble; the poor guy that was mouthing off, never seen anyone brick it as much!!!

The game getting called off in S Wales on arrival; a long way for a pint and a curry :D
