at the risk of boring Dragonfan yet again, just to remind everyone in the Doncaster catchment area that player sponsorships are down to £100 per Dons player for 2011
If I can be bothered being a thousand miles or so away then WHY CAN'T SOME OF YOU LOT ?

Because I cant afford it. ITS NOT A CASE OF NOT BEING BOTHERED.

What bit of spare cash I have got this year will be spent on cheering on the lads away from home.

When have i ever accused you of being boring?

I think its great that someone who lives in France supports the Dons and sponsors them.

Why would you suggest i find you boring?

Indeed, there is more than one way to support the Dons.
Since our 'french fan' finds it hard to attend games, he can opt for player sponsorship as a way to support the Dons ... and well done to him.
There is only so much money available, and when traveling and boozing/feeding costs are factored in ... it ain't cheap as a package.

I know the monetary restrictions all too well - We (me & missus) have to travel three & half hours to get to and from the TO13 games (season ticket holders) plus hotel if it's an evening ko plus a six & half hour trip there and back to Perpignan for selected Catalan games when time & funds allow with the obligatory overnight stay plus food & booze etc etc so I don't need the sob stories of the weary,hard-up travelling fan.Any spare cash goes towards our passion for RL - helping in our small way to support the Dons is a bonus for us - clubs like Donny IS what the game is all about imo.
Our nearest LER club is Villeneuve (Dons level) which is about a three hour drive ,one way.I can't imagine many other RL fans who clock up more kilometers than us during the course of a year.
If I could find a job nearer to the french RL heartlands I would take it.

 to you then.

Thanks for the reminder... i actually said that i was bored with your ranting about player sponsorship, when people are finding times hard, not bored with your postings.

I congratulate you on sponsorship of a player and supporting them from across the water.

I would not like to think how much i pay for my wife and myself in a season for home and away games , raffles and most other fundraising that i support, and also attracted another person to come down for the next season too support them.

I also contribute to the supporters trust in there events, and who sponsored players whilst the trust has been running, so forgive me as i will not be sponsoring a player, and the fear of my job going will make my decisions even harder.

But thanks for remembering me.

Rugbyman has retired. Welcome to Another Penalty

hi again rugbyman - hoping to get over to Doncaster in april health & cash permitting so it would be great to meet the true hardcore Donny fans

funnily enough about two days after I sent off the cheque for the sponsorship of the two Hughes boys I received notice of redundancy ! Me & two others are fighting our cases relating to the legality of the companies' actions but it looks like i'll be kept on part-time at best...funny old world, ain't it ?

btw - when are the 2011 fixtures due to be released ?

Thank you for joining the Supporters Trust and your commitment to the Club, indeed these are hard times, but they won t be the first or last.

Its probably worth remembering that in these hard times we need sport to take our minds of our daily grind, providing its not watching the overpaid primadonna s who play football and spend half the game rolling on the floor.

Watch out for the Trust 2011 calender another master piece coming out soon and excellent value too.

Not thyself but the cause
