Can anyone name the opponents the Dons played in there last game at the York Rd Greyhound Stadium |

Seems like you have us there. I was thinking it may have been an Aussie select side but on reflection I think that the Rovers staged that at Belle Vue. |

The Dons did play the 1952 Australian Touring side at York Rd on Thursday October 30th with a kick off time of 3-15pm the Dons were defeated 41-13 in front of 2600 spectators Dons points came from a try by stand off Lane fullback Griffiths kicked 5 goals. Sorry this wasn't the last Dons game to be played at the Greyhound Stadium. A Dons Past & Present 13 played a match against a Rugby League All Star 13 on Tuesday evening March 24th at Belle Vue the Dons narrowly losing 26-30. The Dons points came from a try a piece by Williams Watson Clough Tynan Belshaw Davies Guest kicked 4 goals |

Here is a small clue years later a former Dons player went on to serve as a director of the Dons opponents |
