A MOVING documentary on the life and times of rugby league commentator and TV entertainer Eddie Waring, will be screened next month.
The show will be shown on BBC Four, 100 years after Waring was born in Dewsbury.
Eddie Waring: Mr Rugby League (BBC Four, 9pm, Tuesday, September 7) traces the history of the sport through the life of the former journalist from Dewsbury who rose to become one of the stars of light entertainment before being hit by dementia and finally ending his days in a psychiatric hospital in Leeds.
