Miller would like to see the NRC, whose final has traditionally been played at Blackpool's Bloomfield Road ground in mid-July, switched to Wembley at the end of August as a curtain-raiser to the Challenge Cup final.

"Not only would there be more time to play the knockout stages and avoid a lot of teams having two blank weekends in one month, but it would also give the Championship players the chance to play at Wembley and also give the suppporters of clubs outside of Super League the chance to cheer on their team at Wembley," he said.

Something needs to be done to make the game more attractive outside of SL. At Championship One level (for example) there is a real struggle to attract the paying public.

The lack of regular rugby is at the heart of the problem and that inevitably affects the less able clubs the most. They are the very same clubs that need regular games to generate regular income the most.

So the situation at the moment is that the least successful clubs get knocked out first in cup competitions and therefore have the most blank weekends and hence the lowest income stream and therefore become even more unsuccessful or risk going bust.......BARMY!!!!!!

The thing is that cup competitions should be arranged to have as little effect on the league program as possible. From say 20 league games more income would be raised if those games were played on a weekly basis (home and away) than if they were dragged out and disrupted....because people LOSE INTEREST!

I believe cup competitions should be before or after the league season or at the most only the Challenge Cup be allowed to run concurrently.

And we should move the rugby season to when fewest people are away on holiday....that means away from July/August.

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

Thank God I'm an atheist.
