Slightly O/T but Gary Purdham brother of Rob Purdham was one of those shot dead by Derrick Bird in Cumbria. He once played for Workington and was only in his 30s. He had two young children. RIP.

Yes, Garry Purdham was a forward who played RL for both Whitehaven and Workington.
