Im not sure if league weekly need a report for this game. But still had a word with tony after the game, didnt realise he had made seven changes since Sunday. Basically he admitted he was surprised how strong a side Blackpool had fielded. He makes no apologies for changing the side so much, insisting he needs to give players coming back from injury some much needed game time. I asked if he treated tonights game as a friendly.
To which he replied, he is looking at the bigger picture, we are out of the cup, and we need to pick up in the league. He is also very confident about beating York on sunday even though they are one of the best teams in the division.
I have to be honest, and I had not seen Tony as happy as this in a long, long, time. He also has a new training team. And players not picked on the friday will be going to the Dome for a long fitness session.
I wonder if it would be a good thing to get the interview videoed and put on the website, not sure if it is possible. But they are good interesting things. a lot of what is said to us in the press room, does get edited out

Those bloody officials.....FFS! Why can't we complain ....they were terrible? This game is a joke. What's the point in having rules? They are killing it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right..... we have rested players for the York game.......fair play. But this had better not backfire. Blackpool IMHO will be the top side in the division so tonight was not too bad.....but the clock is ticking!!!!!! I will be there against York and I expect a win......seemples.

Where do they get these officials from? The standard so far this season has been dire in this league. I know a Cas fan who is always moaning about the refs but he should think himself lucky not to be saddled with these jokers we get stung with.
On a different note i suggest Andy Hobson consults an anger management specialist or retires if he can't hack it!

Some of our tackling late on in the middle of the pitch was just brilliant to behold. ''Get down"......there were some beauties....the lads were really fired up. Much longer and someone would have had to walk....it was brutal.....but it sure as hell galvanised the tiny crowd. Worth the entrance money alone it was. I bet there were some bruises this morning. Liam Brown kept clattering in DESPITE already having an injured leg.
On a slight downer .....our left side defence (particularly centre and winger) were made to look silly last night. They were waltzing by them...it must have happened for about four tries. Although to be fair Blackpool were just blatantly throwing forward passes and the ref and his useless linesmen did nothing to prevent repetitions. I seriously considered walking out at one point because of the appalling standard of this referee.....but the effort from the lads kept me in my seat.
The left side defence needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency before the York game.....if anyone of influence is reading this.....please! That aside it was a cracking display by the lads.....in relative terms.
