Left after 30 minutes.....garbage.
A team of reasonably fit blokes vs a team populated by fatties......harsh but true.
As for the ref....I'm sorry....but it's characters like him that are killing the sport.
Full marks to the Dons for scoring 24 points....and slowing the point per minute rate that Rochdale were going at when I left.
I won't be rushing to go to another away game after that.

Very poor fare today , we were as bad as the referee !

Edwards & Fawcett injured !

We will need to improve next Saturday against Siddal as Rochdale werent world beaters either .

According to Craig Lawton, Grant Edwards has 'torn' something in his knee.

I must admit it was a very poor game, why do we have linesman that cannot see or help the ref when something happens from 1 yrd away, it would have helped if the linesman were fit enough to keep up with the game and more so if they had gone to spec savers before the game, so they could see blatant infringements, the ref i thought also had a poor game, people need to look at the standard of referee`s and sort out the poor displays.... but who are we, we are not super league clubs are we.

This is not me being bitter for losing as we were by far the worst team, today our side were poor, and our winger was shocking, how you can expect to stop a player by sticking your arm out.

Rochdale were for me a team of equal standing to us, but how wrong can you be, we played Whitehaven and Barrow and got beat by them by around the same points, but they are a division above and Barrow are one of the top teams out of super league.

Today a very bad day at the office and one that has to improve, and a massive blow to us with Grant, hope its not to serious.

I liked the idea of Stankevitch stood on the sidelines all game barking the orders out for the 80 minutes.

Rugbyman has retired. Welcome to Another Penalty

All we ask for as supporters is enthusiasm and effort, im afraid to say i saw neither today, i know the ref was appauling but he can't be blamed for pathetic attemps at defending< Rochdale were made to look far better than they are. Whats happened to that young kid Howlett, is he injured? cos against Whitehaven and Barrow he was one of our best defenders, surely after today some changes have to be made for Siddal game or i fear the worst

Incredibly disappointing on so many levels.

The bookmakers had us as 10-point underdogs. I thought (as it seems did many others) that we were possibly better than that. I spoke to a number of people pre-match who had this down as a game we had a realistic chance in. That was blown away in under 10 minutes.

Rochdale's turn around in players has been greater than ours yet we looked like strangers whilst they looked like a team. As has been said earlier in the thread they looked fit, we certainly didn't match them there.

A number of our players looked out of their depth today in a fixture which on paper will not be anywhere near our most challenging.

People were advising me on the way out that they won't be travelling to any more away fixtures this season. It transpires that the bus carrying our travelling supporters to the game today was in fact a car!!! Go figure.

One of my biggest concerns is that the stay-aways who see scorelines like todays aren't coming back!!! We had 285 for our last home game against the so-called Chelsea of the Championship (and at least 50 of them were from Cumbria).

I would love to be more positive than this but to be brutally honest London Skolars effort today against one of the favourites in the Division was much better than ours against a team expected to struggle to make the play-offs!!!

The future also looks bleak if Grant Edwards is out for some time as whilst the talented but as yet untested Simon Brown has been missing we have relied so heavily on him for creativity that being without him seems unthinkable.

A very poor effort for the Dons faithful to witness.

I don't take any gratification in saying that we were poor.....for Christ sake it's a hard game and every lad who turns out has courage and deserves a medal (because I couldn't do it, nor would I choose to)....but you simply have to comment on what you see.
When I first saw these lads against Sheffield B...I was mightily encouraged...and thus optimistic.
But once again we have been dreadfully unlucky with injuries and the side has been totally disrupted as a result......has someone shot a sparrow?
It is hard to see where the next lucky break is going to come from and we truly are going to struggle......we are bottom three material I am afraid.
I will be there against Siddal......COYD
That's 21 competitive defeats on the trot I believe (ignore friendlies).......you just get used to it and don't really notice until someone points it out.

Taking into consideration,

Ellery, Bassinder, Lawton, Brown, Stanley were all out injured, I think we were always going to be up against it.

Losing Jaryn was a kick so early on and Henry to be fair looks to be still carrying an injury?

Edwards and Fawcett look promising and both being injured today is just another kick.

I also think (especially having just seen Leeds Game) that the ref made no allowances for the conditions, hence blowing every 2 mins for laying on...
Sin bin wasn't really needed.

I still think we were dire.

Ely was my MOM and I thought Bovill put in 100%.
Leafy made some decent progress at times but out with this not many other positives.

Miller didn't seem interested, with no obvious vocal from him and was hardly speedy to get in at half time to fire the boys up.

2nd half we came out strong but hit some unlucky decisons.

Credit to Rochdale - Scrum Half looked like he could certainly play a level above.

I am still bemused how teams that clearly get equal or less support than us can sign some decent experienced players? How are they doing this?
As it those 1 or 2 at this level that can make a massive difference...

I will keep attending as that is what we do, but in current climate I need / would hope to see better return on my £30 each week..

All I can say is that next week will be an eye opener if not carefull...

Better turn up expecting the worse as that way you can only be surpised with a positive!

Over to you DONS

There's no I in team......but there is a me!

:(

Glad we worked on our defence last week, it certainly showed!

Glad I m not the only one dismayed by our coach dawdling across the pitch at half time after a dreadful first half display. Hope he got to the changing room before his tea got cold!

I just keep telling myself be glad you ve a team to watch, but I fear at this rate I ll be sat by myself by the end of the year.

Now then , we didnt loose Jaaron after a few minutes it was the trialist 2nd row forward who went off .

Hope Fawcett is ok , Simon Brown should be back Saturday.

Discipline was another reason we lost !
