Dons 32-HKR 16
Very good again.
Henry and Liam Brown stood out.
Hey was competent enough as a half-back.
Gomersall was decent and one or two of the forwards played well..Stanley in particular. He also was the main goal kicker, although three players had a go.
They were all sh/te
Good job it was a friendly....7 tries and 2 conversions.
Barrow will be a totally different proposition though....but I am very encouraged by the team's commitment.
Craig Lawton limped off with a knee injury...... :(
The crowd was only 260............. :(

Agree lots of commitment and Barrow will certainly be a different proposition, and we already seem to be very unlucky with injuries.

However impressed with all the props this afternoon, especially Paul Shaw, nice to see our forwards wanting to keep the ball alive.

Just hope recognised kicker is nt out too long, as none of todays kickers were very convincing.

Overall though another good performance.

Have to agree that there were again many positives. The only negatives being further injuries and no recognised goalkicker.

Barrow will indeed be a different proposition but the current squad would seem to be showing many of the traits that supporters have historically asked for ... pride, team spirit and enthusiasm ... and to be honest there would seem to be a fair amount of skill and flair too.

Very encouraging so far.

liked the look of Jarryn, i know he was playing out of position but he did really well imo. Kicked well and ran the ball in well. But i must say i lost all respect for the bloke when he cramped up in the boozer after the match, i mean ffs i was in that boozer a hell of a lot longer than him and i never even had a twinge let alone a full on cramp.

I thought he had a quiet game.....and he probably needs to do some work to get up to speed.

Another run out & a win . Thought Grant Edwards was outstanding, he could easily slot in at 6. Was impressed by Paul Shaw in the forwards.
