Champions in the Frontline Fair Play Index

Hull FC and Halifax crowned champions in the Frontline Fair Play Index

Hull FC have won the Frontline Fair Play Index following another disciplined performance in round 27 of the engage Super League. The Airlie Birds will now receive a specially engraved trophy and £5,000 worth of equipment from Frontline Bathrooms.

The black and whites stormed to victory, finishing 38 points clear of nearest rivals St Helens who managed to hold off a close challenge from Hull KR to secure second place in the table.

In a closely fought battle at the bottom of the index, play-off contenders Catalans Dragons have remained at the foot of the table with just five points separating the Perpignan-based outfit with Wakefield Wildcats and Salford City Reds.

Meanwhile, in the Co-operative Championship, Halifax have secured the £5,000 prize plus a trophy for finishing top in the Frontline Fair Play Index.

Last week’s leaders Doncaster slipped to third place following an ill-disciplined performance which saw them concede 22 points, enough for them to miss out to their Yorkshire counterparts.

At the bottom of the table, just two points separated Gateshead Thunder and Leigh Centurions. Despite a strong finish by the cherry and whites, it was not enough to propel themselves off the foot of the table.

He should be hanged for costing us £5,000.
Perhaps that was the hidden agenda and not just looking after Gateshead?
