Gateshead thoroughly deserved to lose and not even get a bonus point. They had enough skill to beat.....yes beat.... Sheffield. But their mentality in defence was disgraceful. I know Sheffield are a handful with Exton, Yere, Ripate and so on....but the penalties ensuing from petty infringements were crippling. I also noticed Stringer up to his old tricks of elbow into the face at the tackle when he ends up on top.....he did that to one of ours at Fev. He's a dirty coward who needs sorting by refs. |

Penalties can certainly help a team.The first 5 tries scored by Batley last Sunday came on the next play after a penalty took them down the slope.Knocks the stuffing out of a side. |
