All his banter with the Dons fans at Featherstone last week doesn't seem to have done his game any harm .... 3 tries in the Eagles 30-4 victory over Batley tonight.

He played well last night.Batleys discipline not the best in the first half and i think it lost them the match as Sheffield were out of sight when they scored again in the second half.

Couple of things though from the game. The ref waved 2 yellow cards in the first half but i only counted that one player had gone off.I havent a clue who the first card was for?

Also Pete Green was incorrectly credited with a try in the first half and there were definate boos when his name was announced.

Lastly the Batley fans were going barmy at half time with Mr Hicks the ref.I was told in the cocked hat afterwards that it was because Yere put a proper bell ringer tackle on a Batley player early doors and there was a bit of afters.I thought it was for the tripping incident just before half time though??

Come On You Dons !!!!

Don't think any home fans were booing Peter Green, why should we boo him? As for Menzie what a legend of a player he is becoming a collosus mountain, some monster hits that were all legal,I'll admit to the interfrence but wernt he being clever? the ref didnt see it:DRUMMER:

It was green, apparently - blood bin card.

I dont know why he should be booed, thats why i asked?? I only thought it was the home fans because there was no reason for the Batley fans to boo him, and it came from the back of the stand where the eagles fans were sat.

Think you could struggle to hold on to him - wouldn't be a surprise if a SL club came sniffin' round.

I'm not saying you didn't hear something Karlos but I certainly didn't.. but then all those Eagles fans (including me) where I sit just in front of the press box gave a resounding cheer when his name was called out so I wouldn't have heard it anyway. No one I have have spoken to has a bad word to say about him but they certainly have lots of good ones. We have a number of players who have worn the blue and gold and we are proud of every one of them. If anything I think Pete has the admiration of the majority of Eagles fans for sticking with the Dons as long as he did. I shall make a point of listening out next time and if you're right and there were boos coming from any Eagles fans I'll go and have a little word

It was only when the try was announced. There were no boos at all when it was announced he had won one of the MOM awards just cheers.I was surprised when i heard it because i wasnt sure why either.
Played well i thought your lot St G. They could have got dragged into a scrappy game as well with all the high shots that were flying about but they kept there heads (literally!) and won comfortably.
Maybe see you in Blackpool mate.
