Do the Dons receive any compensation for not being able to play at the Keepmoat?
Looking at the scoreline last week and this we might as well played the games at Batley and Sheffield and would have got better crowds IMO

You are right about the venue issue.....it's a joke..and symptomatic of the poor way we have been managed.
I went today and when I see an Eagles side with some real quality players and some of our old players existing (on the face of it) perfectly well with little away support and home crowds no better than we have achieved....... I get quite angry.
I don't know if I broke my record ...but I went with 28 minutes left. I'm sorry but what is the point of watching the misery.....with a handful of gloating Eagles fans on cloud nine shouting 'easy, easy'.
It's terrible to watch.....and I don't blame the lads....they tried their best.....we are just a laughing stock. The set up is a laughing stock.
Leaf got badly injured showing the rest how to tackle bravely and saving a certain try.....I hope he is OK

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

Thank God I'm an atheist.

Leafeys tackle reminded me of the one he did on Nanyn at Widnes a couple of years ago. That one still goes down as the best ive ever seen.Hope Shauns ok (see other thread).

Only 275 there today and more than half of that from Sheffield. The lads tried there best today and thats all we can ask.We are conceding points in the 2nd half though when the lads get tired and the heads drop.I think last week was the same 50 odd points shipped in the 2nd half.

Come On You Dons !!!!

Disappointed by the so called Eagles fans who appeared to be gloating at our predicament-but my faith in true rugby league fans was restored at the end of the game when a couple of real Eagles fans came over and wished us well for the rest of the season and beyond.

Where not loving it all,I feel sorry for you that youve been mismanaged four times,Not once FOUR,I hope the fans get in charge of the club and get it sorted and you have a future that doesnt involve a sugar daddy who throws his toys out of his pram when the going gets tough,I wish you all the best. The fans of your club deserve better and the ones who turned up today deserve a medal!!!I take no satisfaction in beating a team by 70 when it's obviously back to the wall.

hi this is one of them sugar daddys u refer to my name is craig harrison i was asked by 2 or3 good friends to help doncaster in there hr of need they were in cva .3 players and fook all else with a contract with the stadium which was huge we had 7 fixtures to finish in div 1 .To get to the end of the year and strart the new one at the same time rebuilding cost a small fortune in money plus i went full time working at the club for again fookall .WITHOUT going into detail i spent 18 month subsidising this personally. here below is 5 true facts.
no1 in the 18 months i was part of the club it was one of its most succesful
no2 the corporate was the most succesful in league and top 3 league above 75 percent being new punters.
no3 the crowds averaged 900 ,without much away support making us in top3 in league.
no4 the idea of bringing in a high profile coach such as ellery hanley at my and my friend shanes personal cost was haralded at the time as being a fantastic idea to generate new fans and build up the profile in doncaster,we had more media coverage than anyother club in division.
no5 Apart from the real loyal fans who i whole heartedly respect doncaster does NOT warrent a rugby league club and that is where the blame lies.
So speaking for all the fooking sugardaddys who have all tried there bolloks of to make the club a success and who like me had little history of the dons but wanted to try and help, show just a little respect. Thanks again all real genuine fans u are a credit to your club i did go into personal time and money with figures because my wife would divorce me.GOOD LUCK THE DONS AND HAS I ALWAYS SAID THE FANS ARE THE RIGHT PEOPLE TO TAKE THE CLUB FORWARD WITH THE RIGHT PEOPLE IN PLACE .PS SORRY ABOUT THE GRAMMER I AM ONLY A WORKING CLASS LAD .

The trouble with a big backer is they eventually get fed up of shoveling the money in. That's why we moved to Huddersfield.

Thanks for good wishes, I m sure we will rise again, hopefully led by the supporters with a realistic plan and timescale.
