Sheffield Eagles 28 Whitehaven 24
Five former Dons (Woodcock, Mills, Wood, Green and Haley) in the Sheffield line-up. Danny Mills on loan from Widnes with one of the tries and Johnny Woodcock booting over four goals.

Another former Doncaster player Ade Adebisi played for Whitehaven.

On the subject of past players thought Luke Gale had a good game for the Quins last night and did not look out of his depth at the top level.
Wonder if any of the Leeds fans who said he was not up to it when he joined us were watching?

Had a very good game last night and certainly didn't look out of place at that level.

It seems that Brian McDermott is a big fan also.

Widnes Vikings 46 Featherstone Rovers 22
Featherstone including four former Dons (Briggs, Divorty, McLocklan and Tonks) slip to defeat at Widnes as eight Vikings score one try each in front of a crowd of 3,278.

Widnes up to 2nd but the teams immediately behind them have games in hand.

Toulouse into 4th as both Featherstone and Whitehaven lose.

Sheffield up to 7th.

Batley's bonus point moves them 4 points clear of the drop-zone although Gateshead and Doncaster each have a game in hand.

Late Shad Royston try seals victory for Halifax in the battle of the Championships best two teams.

Leigh Centurions 12 Gateshead Thunder 40
Mark Castles debut and a Sam Reay try for Leigh not enough to stop a home hammering by Thunder.
