Post subject:  OT Marauders hoping to dish out a lesson.

Moorends-Thorne Marauders are travelling to North Leeds on Saturday hoping to give a few lessons out to the West Park Leeeds based Leeds Akkies.

The Akkies have so far this season been punching well below their own high standards set over the last five years and will surely be looking to kick start their own season in their recently refurbished home at a cost of 10.5 million pounds.

After committing themselves in excellent fashion in last seasons Rugby League Conference National (NL3), many pundits had made them the pre-seasons favourites to win the Rugby League Conference Yorkshire Premier division.

Testimony to the strength of the Yorkshire Premier is the fact that the Akkies are resting in sixth place having won one from four very close games.

The Marauders have been boosted with the return to training of Ryan Rafferty this week and the club could be further boosted in the next week with two more of last seasons squad also returning.

Transport leaves the Moorends Social club at 12.15 prompt ! Directions to the ground will be left behind the bar for any supporters who do not want to set off so early or check the clubs website www.thornemoormarauders.ik.com
