Post subject:  FANTASTIC FOUR NATIONS OFFER

The Dons have teamed up with the RFL to offer their fans a truly fantastic package for this autumn’s inaugural Four Nations series Rugby League tournament involving Australia, England, France and World Champions New Zealand.

The Dons Four Nations Package includes:

o Ticket for England v World Champions New Zealand at Galpharm Stadium on 07/11/09
o Ticket for the Four Nations final at Elland Road on 14/11/09
o Return bus transport from Keepmoat Stadium to both games
o One England replica shirt

You get all this for only £100 for adults and £85 for children up to 16 years of age!

The four week long tournament will determine the best team in World Rugby League in 2009 and starts in late October. These games will be played in Yorkshire, Lancashire, London and France.

Following their World Cup victory last year, the Kiwi’s will start the tournament as joint favourites with the green and gold’s of Australia. However, with games on home soil both England and France will fancy their chances of success.

This will be the first year that a four nation’s tournament has taken place and is an expansion of successful Gillette Tri-Nations events involving Australia, England and New Zealand that were held in 2004, 2005 and 2006.

Help raise funds for the Dons and take advantage of this one in a lifetime offer! Contact Carl Hall at the club on 01302 765888 for more details.

HALIFAX RLFC v DONCASTER RLFC - 19/04/09

High flying Halifax will prove to be a stern test for the Dons this weekend. They had a very productive Easter weekend with wins over Batley Bulldogs and Whitehaven. The Bulldogs particularly suffered against the men from The Shay by going down 72-0.

The Dons picked up their first league win of the campaign over the Easter weekend with a superb 23-22 win against much fancied Sheffield Eagles in the South Yorkshire derby. They also ran Widnes Vikings very close with a narrow 24-18 loss at the Keepmoat on Easter Monday.

Doncaster coach Tony Miller is hoping that his side’s spirited display against Widnes will boost his squad’s self-belief ahead of a daunting visit to The Shay. Miller said: “Hopefully our second half performance will have given the lads a confidence boost for Sunday’s trip to Halifax.”

Dons’ fans will be pleased to hear that stand off Kyle Briggs has recovered from his bout of flu that kept him out of the Widnes game. However, no other injuries have cleared up in time but Dean Colton and Michael Coady have started training again.
