Whatever you do, you mustn't 'cheat' like Batley did, last week. Their tactics were to drive the ball in a couple of times, and then move it out wide, where we didn't seem to have any defenders. Obviously, that upset our lads, who justifiably assumed that all teams employed 'one-up' tactics, for each full set of six tackles. (except when the ball is dropped, early in the set, thus forcing the tactical change of a scrum) So, come on, play the game - 'one-up', all the time, preferably from dummy half, and plenty of dropped ball, to add to the excitement! |

I must confess Leigh's defeat last week came as quite a shock. |

surprised Leigh won today, but it was just 2 'poor sides' playing each other ? |

Poor game and dissapointing result from our point of view yesterday. Far too many unforced errors on our part and too many penalties by Leigh. Very dissapointed that once again players seem to prefer to run across the pitch for 15 yards, the same back again and gain 2 yards forward if we are lucky (sorry should I be using meters) either way very little forward momentum. For me the one exception was Mark Castle, pleased to see he kept his cool even with the number of high shots he took. There can be no blaming the ref, he tried on the wqhole to let the game flow but the teams did everything they could to hinder him. We were as good as Leigh just made more errors than they did and suffered the final result. |

I didn't go to this game because I was away for the weekend. I am surprised at the lack of match comments on here. What has happened to Coady.....last I heard he had a viral infection. have we lost him? Bloody odd. |

Very poor. I was ready for coming home just after half-time when Leigh walked in for an easy try. Shockingly inept in the first half. Gave away ball on the first tackle at least twice within range of Leigh's line. They weren't a great deal better, in all honesty. Worst Leigh side I've ever seen, and that's not sour grapes either, but still better than us on the day. Not good. Have to agree that Mark Castle was head-and-shoulders our best player yesterday. Did have some good ale pre-game though. Deadened the pain a little |

Have to admit I was to blame for one of our golden chances.Ill have to watch out in future when starting a song off!! Jemmo clipped me round the ear'ole for that. Have to agree though that that was the worst Leigh side ive seen for years. They definatley wont smash any pots this year and I can see them being with us,Batley and Gateshead at the bottom. |
