I will have to investigate.

Who knows, perhaps the guy just hit the wrong button??? Still dearer than the Gatehouse or the Old Angel.

BTW The Mallard is expensive, you are correct

Had a pint of Batemans A Taste Of Heaven yesterday in the Eden Arms. I'm usually a fan of Batemans (they produce plenty of quality stuff) and whilst it was still palatable, it just didn't really hit the spot in the way that many of their brews do.

Just a warm up for a Blades fan :lol:. Most of em I know can sup a bit. Had a Bottled Pale Ale weekend. Meantime Brewerys (Greenwich) London and India Pale ale, The India in a massive 760ml bottle with a proper stopper is on offer at the Mo at Sainsburys. Both quality brews and highly recommendable. Taylors Landlord, which in bottled form takes some beating. All very delicious and the perfect compliment to a cigar.

Just had a couple of days in North Yorkshire (based in Pickering). Plenty of Theakston's, Black Sheep and Timothy Taylors as you would expect but also one or two other nice pints sampled;

Black Dog Rhatas 4.4% in the Black Horse in Whitby.
Camerons Strongarm 4.0% in both the Station Inn, Grosmont and the Goathland Hotel, Goathland.
Wold Top A Hurricane Blew Over Yorkshire 4.8% in the Hare and Hounds, Staxton.

One place I really would recommend is Suddabys in Malton which had no less than 6 real ales available. Their own After Dark Coffee Porter 5.0% was delicious.

Was at the Old George at Sykehouse yesterday and sampled Scorpion by Marston Moor Brewery of York.
Very pale 3.7%
Very nice with a creamy head.

Dropped into the George and Dragon at West Haddersley yesterday evening and sampled their White Dragon (a light beer) brewed by the Brown Cow people in the name of Simpson and Simpson.

Almost forgot, dropped into the (Leeds) Brewery Tap on Thursday afternoon for a couple of pints of Midnight Bell.

Had earlier had a pint of Marstons Ashes Ale and a pint of Leeds Bitter in Whitelocks plus a pint of Thwaites Well Well Well in the Scarbrough Arms.

Not a bad drink amongst them, with the Marston and Thwaites brews being new to me.

Finally sampled the Thorne Brewery Best Bitter last night. Both the Old Angel and Tonik had it on. Very enjoyable indeed.
