Had an old favourite in the Old Angel this evening ... Wentworth Black Zac
and later a pint of Black Hole Cosmic in the Gatehouse.

Had a pint of Whim Hartington Ale, definitely worth a second tasting and Durham's White Ale, which was excellent, both sampled at the Arkwright Arms, Sutton-cum-Duckmanton.

Another new one on me tonight in the shape of Bragdy Conwy Brewery's Celebration Ale 4.2% sampled in the Gatehouse.

Has anyone tried Thorne Best Bitter or Thorne Pale Ale yet?

Not been anywhere where it's been on yet.

Sun Inn (York Road) had Hobgoblin on this week.

Couple of Daleside brews sampled last night ...

Old Leg Over 4.1% in the Gatehouse and

then ventured to the Tonik festival mentioned earlier in the thread ...

Great Heck Dave (dark and very enjoyable - apparently) 3.9% and
a mystery beer which everyone is asked to donate 50p to charity for a guess at and the opportunity to win a gallon of beer. It tasted a little like York Brewery Centurion Ghost but probably wasn't.

also managed a pint of Courage Directors 4.8% in the Salutation.

Thorne Bitter available at the John Bull , Waterside Thorne . just off Junct 6 m18 northbound.

havent tried it myself but told its a good pint.

I'll have to give it a go sometime soon.
