Good performance today and a slightly flattering scoreline for Wakey I thought, who ran away with it a little in the final quarter as our part timers tired. Scott outstanding and one or two other notable performances particularly Kesik.
As expected they outnumbered us about 4-1 so thanks to them for the extra revenue and on the whole a great bunch of fans and good luck in the next round.

Just one downside-for the Wakey fan chanting "Doncaster, HA HA HA" in the first half when we were 0-10 down-your replica shirt is going to look crap next season with holes in the sleeves where the Superleague logo used to be!
Not such a smart booty in favour of no relegation/promotion now are we?

Enjoyed my second visit to the Keepmoat, you have a team to be proud of and they don't give up.

Best of luck for the future.

Excellent day out at Doncaster today, drOve straight to a parking spot, 20m from ticket office and just £12 to sit in a superb stadium with a great view.

Doncaster had a real go and scored the best try of the game but inevetably the scoreline blew out a bit near the end and I agree 10-50 flattered Trinity. Little.

Good conversation with a couple of Dony fans who were sat amongst the Wakey fans without a hint any animosity!

Good luck for the rest of your season.

Yes ... a nice day out in the sunshine.
As has been noted the scoreline flattered Wakefield, not that it matters in a cup game, one point ahead secures victory and there was no way we were going to beat Wakefield.

I thought all the Donny lads muscled up and tried to match Wakefield, and for 60 minutes they did great.

I thought Butterfield was great and Spaven had a good game in a team were all the lads played well.

I thought we were a bit lacking at 18-10 when we had them wondering a bit ... could Donny possibly beat us? Probably not, but we let them off the hook and we never got a sniff after that.

A lot of fans are unhappy about Kesik being treated as a rotation player. I agree, it is a big mistake not to play him for the full game. He looks fit enough to me. What is Miller playing at?

I also thought a lot of our restarts in the second half were one-dimensional ... why the fook punt it to the same bloke who never drops it??? And that kick out on the full gave Wakey the chance to post another try. I can understand kicking too long, but putting the ball over the sideline is a sin.

Back to the positives ... we gave Wakey some sort of a game for 60 minutes ... next week we take on a team two divisions below them at home.
If we don't show the same commitment as today and WIN ... we want knobbing.
COYD

PS Overheard remark from a Wakey fan after the game ... 'Why do they allow Donny to play in a stadium like this?'
Duuurrrrrr!!!! :ASK:

Plenty of Banter today and 99.9% was in good part so added to a great game...

Thought we muscled up well today and scoreline did slightly flatter Wakey.

We had a couple of chances to add a few more points and rotating Kesik whilst in the middle of a set in front of there posts just seemed mental?

Great to see Grant back too.

Overall a good day and certainly did not let ourselves down today....

PS Dobek did make some decent kicks throughout play.

It's a big ask for your lads to play at that level and intensity week in week out, however if they can reach 75-80% of that performance then you should be looking at a place in the grand final at least. Good to hear you lot chanting even when you were well behind an also after the final hooter. Great stadium, great fans (you deserve more) and a great day. The score line did flatter us but that is almost inevitably the case in many of these matches when part time players start to tire on or around the 60 minute mark.
