More errors in that first half than in the last 3 games but luckily hunslet matched us that department, 2nd half was better but still not great. The oldham bet made the day more expensive for me but the couple of pints in the bar afterwards with the players softened the blow, I'd of been confident coming back here and getting a result but even more so at home

We were starting to despair a bit after their last try...not because we couldn't win, but that we were so bloody careless. That try typified it...rank defending. But then things went our way like we had suddenly had a team talk and decided to stop pratting about. When is Boas gonna have a dart and suddenly he flies and grounds a grubber. When is Smeaton ever gonna score again and suddenly he does in familiar style. Like answers to prayers.... Why Fonua isn't getting a stack of tries and why Boas isn't doing a 'Dewsbury' I don't quite know...probably trying to give others a go. Yes I know we have to vary things ... I think we could tank teams better than we do...defence was generally good though...first 2 minutes aside.
War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

I only listened on the wireless to the game - my takeaways are if we are to face Hunslet again in the final then we need to work on our high kick defence as they caught us twice for tries and one disallowed. They didn't seem to be able to break us any other way than the kicks so much practice for Misi and Tom.
I'd not change a winning side so no room for Travis, Sanderson or Tali - tho I think Tali from the bench could offer some strike and some blockbusting runs.
