i understand bovill did not play today we do need his size and power in the forwards, i know some of you dont rate him but we do need his strength, though he can lose it sometimes

Seemed like we never got of the bus. Gateshead I thought took the game to us and cannot really understand why they are getting hammered every week. But our one man stuff didn't work. But three more points in the bag. Still can't get over £15 to get in.

Rugbyman has retired. Welcome to Another Penalty

Sorry,
Yes,we need his size in the forwards----but not someone who's direction on receiving the ball is towards the ground.

Bovill might have the size but i never seen him break a tackle yet, he's certainly no Danny Stanley or Gareth Handforth. IMO obviously.

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

Thank God I'm an atheist.

Just got in and seen the result and being honest I am staggered! A win is a win granted but our coach was in the press this week suggesting that we would be significantly improving our points difference. It seems we only denied Gateshead a bonus point with a last minute try.

Only 2 teams have failed to put 40+ points on Gateshead in the league, the other being London who got 32.

Oh well, time for a beer!

The report in the Rugby Leaguer & League Express didn't make good reading.
Gateshead were only 4 points behind with 11 minutes to go! :?
Ironically it was a fumble by Ash Williams that let us off the hook.

The squad we took was nigh on our strongest (Green excepted), so what's all that about? A bit worrying I would suggest.

Still every game is different ... anything can happen.

Honestly, that was our best performance of the season, the return of Danny Wilson (on loan from York) has helped shore up our defence. Though having said that we never let our confidence slip. I honestly thought it was a great game played by two sides looking for a chink the others armour.

As for the £15 to get in that is the price it's been all season if you're paying at the turnstiles. Just for future if you know you're travelling up you'd be better off buying your tickets online from the Thunder website, as they're a couple of quid cheaper when bought in advance: www.thunderrugby.com
