This saturday (18th Dec) Doncaster ARLFC are at home to local rivals Bentley Good Companions. 2pm kick off

As martin said in another post we are at Home this w/e to Bentley. The other Home fixtures are Saturday U13s v Crigglestone and on Sunday the U15s v Featherstone Lions. Lets hope the weather forecast is not as bad as expected.

Sorry to have to report for everybody who knows Moira Tattersall that she passed away yesterday. She suffered a stroke in February and had been in a care home since may, unfortunately she had another stroke and did not recover.
Moira was one of THE origanal members of the club when we were first formed in 1987 as Doncaster Boys, she coached at many levels probably the h/l being the curtain raisers to Wigan v Warrington in Milwaukee in america and Doncaster schools v Widnes at the challenge cup at Wembley
She was an active committee member attending numerous meetings in the YJL and was club " Chairperson " for a number of years.
Right until the end she took a keen interest in all the Teams results especially " Her Boys" in the Under 9s.

Remember watching her coach the young boys many years ago (must be over 20) on Bentley Rec ... very sad news indeed.

Very sad news. Moira must have coached thousands of kids over the years. A true saint and a really lovely lady.

My thoughts go out to Ian and the family.

For people who dont know Moiras funeral is next Thursday the 6th Jan 3pm at Rose Hill.There will be a " plate collection " to be divided between The Stroke Society and a Childrens Charity which reflects her coaching career and time as a Foster Mother,the Club House will be open afterwards and everyone is welcome to come along.
