I'm thinking of starting up a new unofficial website for the Dons. used to enjoy doing breathing fire, but obviously had to stop when i started working in Leeds.
now i work in donny again, so could once again update in the evening when there are updates to put on.
A Question if i do start one......
If you were to access a new site, are you more likely to want to access via your mobile phone or PC?
Having a very good WAP and internet capable mobile phone, ive found that certain websites dont load or look crap on my moby which is extremely annoying, so personally i think we need to look at a mobile site. but i need to know how many people would check the site via pc or moby.
Also, what in specific would you like to see on a new web or moby site.
Personally i think bring back the midweek interview I used to have in the breathing fire days with the coach, which was then the late and gre8 St John Ellis. Also we used to have regular interviews with John Wright, so could do a write up talking to either Carl or Dave.
any ideas, and whether a new site is what u want to see, please respond.....

PC........don't have a contract phone.....so internet is a bit too expensive on pay as you go.
Anything that bridges the void between players and fans must be a good thing.
That is what the Keepmoat has killed off......and until the Dons realise that.....they are going nowhere.
Seriously.
We don't know the players from jack sh/t anymore.

There is a new web site being set up by the new interim supporters trust as we speak and hopefully it will be up and running over the next two weeks.
Information that you would like on the site, would help the people who are setting it up and for the site to work for the supporters, so that we can make sure it is right for the fans and the info they want to see.

Beat me to it.
Hopefully there will be some news on this in the next couple of weeks as Baz has said. It would be good to get everyone interested in this site so any information from supporters about what they would like to see will be well received.

i'll let the interim supporters trust work on one, as that will be more beneficial to us fans. Any help give us a shout.
Also if you remember a post i put on ages ago where id found breathing fire from years ago, if any of that info is useful, then feel free to knick it.
I really wish id saved a hard copy of the special we did to celebrate 50 years of the club. Geoff and Steve Roebuck supplied me with loads of information and pictures, adn we had a fantastic special which took ages to compile. why i didnt save a copy god knows. Dont suppose anyone did, did they?
you can use this site to access an archived version of Breathing Fire - not all of the links work, but there's still a fair bit of information to read, follow the link and paste http://www.breathingfire.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ in the relevant field in the "web" box to call up the site...
agree with a previous post in that any new website should include as much information about the players as possible - people laugh at the old style profiles ("steak and chips - lager - majorca - anything in a skirt, but don't tell the missus - hur, hur") - but at least you had a bit of empathy with who was wearing the blue and gold in those days !
special request for as much club history as possible to be included - rugby league as a whole is served pretty poorly by the internet for records and stuff - it's well nigh impossible to find lists of tables and dons results on-line - and it's the history of the club that made us all supporters - so treat it with the importance it deserves - mr roebuck, for instance, should be given as much space as he wants to upload pictures and stories - i love reading his recollections (but them i'm a bit sad like that.... )
