No such score mate we told the Yorkshire league once our league programme had finished that we would not be playing any more games so they could get the remaining fixtures sorted without us ! The committee decided that with the loss of to many players to the Dons and going 4 to 5 weeks without regular game time was not good for the club, the last straw was being told that their next game would be on the 24/May/2009.

We had a decision to make ! either run out the winter or start the summer season, once all the pro's and con's had been put on the table there was only one winner, "The Summer".

A lot of politics and planning going on at the moment and to reach our goals (Can not say to much at the moment) in the next 2 to 3 years we had to take the correct action for the club.

what about doncaster cup? i fort you had loads down at training so why cant you carry on even tho you lost afew to dons?

Who else have you lost to the Dons apart from Gaz Carey or are you including the reserves Jim?

Craig Holt had signed with us as well as Wayne Green, Ben Hofmann, Adam Lloyd, Alex Palmer and Chris Allen was on the Reserve squad list but I have been told he has quit.

As for the Donny cup it just became one game to far once it was not going to be played in April ! Our first summer game is this Saturday and with the RLC you get a full season without gap weekends.

Are we to assume from this Moorends have forfeited the Doncaster cup final? There is still scope to play it in the evening now the light is good enough. The Comps have only had 1 fixture in the last 4 saturdays as well.

to be fair jim craig holt was always going to resign for the dons.
