There was only 6 posts leading up to the game so i hope you wasn't expecting 17 pages of praise, having said that we were brilliant and showed what we genuinely are capable of and i said that on here at HT, did you also notice our coach's interview on youtube 35 mins after the match compared to nothing all week after the york drubbing?

Next to no one posts on here nowadays.

I find making posts on here can be frustrating. Typing can be painfully slow... and that's nothing to do with my PC, as this is the only site I visit that causes such issues. Pressing 'submit' often doesn't work and I have to type the post out again.

Email notifications of other people's posts arrive in my inbox days after they've been posted or not at all. Again, this is not an issue with my emails as this is the only site I have problems with.

Maybe the site technology is now geared up primarily for mobile apps and not PCs? I don't know. Maybe, it's because I use Firefox for accessing the web? Firefox works fine elsewhere though.

After getting promoted last season, I thought interest on the forum would increase. Maybe everyone has flocked to Facebook? I don't know. I don't do Facebook.

Sad really as we've had some good posters on here over the years... but I think it's fair to say things ain't what they used to be.

Anyone else got any thoughts on why so few people use this forum now?

I have technical issues with the site all the time too, typing takes a while to catch up and buttons often seem hidden under other windows. Find it works better in some browsers than others.

The vast majority of people are in the Dons facebook group now, typically 30-50 posts/comments a day in there from such topics as awful performances, excellent performances and who has the right to say what about what...some things never change

Cheers, Jemmo. It's a minor consolation that I'm not the only one having trouble with this site! :)

Looks like Facebook is the place everyone has gravitated to.

It's taken me about five times longer than it should to have got this message typed out properly due to typing delays. Now, let's see what happens when I press submit...

Morning DM.

The issues were, in the main, resolved late last week. Have you tried clearing your cache to see if that helps?

Hi Gary,

Thanks for the update. My cache is cleared automatically each evening when closing Firefox. Maybe Jemmo and I have become such fast typers that the site cannot cope!

Seriously, I'm working on quite a high end machine. I sometimes wonder if life is even more challenging for those with lower spec machines or slower internet connections.

Based on my experience, I can see why the number of forum posters are in decline.

I did get an email through this morning to say someone 'liked' my post but I didn't get a message to say your message had been added.I suspect when I got a glut of emails last week, this was when the issues you mentioned were resolved.

I appreciate it's not easy designing forum software that works seemlessly on all devices but seeing so many adverts all over everywhere does become tiresome... and I suspect increases the chances of issues arising when making posts.

It'd be interesting to hear from 'old posters' as to why they no longer come on here... but maybe they won't read this because they don't come on here anymore!

PS. I tried to click Preview to view this message before pressing Submit but it won't work. LOL Submit won't work either. This tends to happen quite a lot when I have used a quote in a message. The 'workaround' I've learned is to copy the message and then paste it as a new post, as opposed to clicking the quote option. I will see if that still works....
