Just had a phone call asking why the Dons would kick up a fuss about the Rovers training on the main pitch this Friday. Apparently the Rovers have requested to train on the main pitch before a vital game against Cardiff the following day. The rumour is that the Dons have 'kicked up a stink' and the SMC refused the Rovers permission saying it would be unfair on The Dons. It looks like permission was eventually granted but we seem to be getting the blame. Can anyone shed any light on this matter ?
Just found this piece http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-so ... e-12975016. What the hell are the SMC playing at. Dons don't have a problem reading that, but the word around Town is not in our favour. The SMC it appears need to get a statement out IMO. We can do without any ill feeling.

The Dons never said the Rovers can not train on it, as it says in the article the SMC said it would not be fair on the Dons. From a report on the Rovers site, they actually asked the Dons if they would have a problem with it and they were happy for them to.
We don't have a home game until Easter Monday so it's not going to affect us.
it should be noted that I am aware of times in the past where we have asked to train on the pitch have also been refused, presumably because it would be unfair on the Rovers. Maybe this can be sorted and we can both have a go
