The past 3 years without him have been harder than you can imagine but it lifts the saddness when we know that people like you still remember him and regard him so highly.

I remember vividly the throngs of people (many connected with the Dons) who were at the Church on the day of the funeral and at the nearby Club afterwards.

Showed how well-respected and loved the big fella was.

The award is a well-deserved and fitting tribute to a local legend.

For those who knew him from his playing days he was IMO probably the reason the Dons team from the 80's turned from Comic book to best seller. The most charismatic of men. Pleased as punch for his Family that he gets this award.
