Having lost backs Dean Colton and Scott Jones for the Queens game after they picked up injuries in the previous home fixture against Swinton, three further players picked up injuries in the Dons ill-fated Challenge Cup tie last Saturday.
Utility back Shaun Leaf and prop forward Michael Haley were both withdrawn on Saturday with groin injuries. Ironically, Haley managed less than ten minutes on his return from a previous injury. Both could be out for at least a month whilst new signing Paul Handforth who made his debut at scrum half last weekend is a doubt for the trip to Barrow with an ankle injury.
Recent surgery means that the Dons will continue to be without forwards Alex Benson (back injury) and Craig Lawton (shoulder injury) for a number of weeks yet.
Andreas Bauers recent early return to the squad and Mike Coadys speedy recovery from illness last week must be a real blessing to coach Tony Miller.
for the barrow match we will have Luke May coming in from Harlequins (months loan) as well as Handforth and Divorty passed fit. However Shaun Leaf, Dean Colton and Michael Haley are out (all groin injuries) and Briggs may be missing as his wife may be giving birth
