Luke signed a first grade contract for Harlequins in September 2008 after advancing through the Quins junior set up. In fact Luke was only introduced to the game of Rugby league when he was 16 and so he has made significant strides.
In 2006 Luke had an outstanding Junior Academy season, winning the Coaches “Player of the Season” award at the seasons end. 2007 saw regular appearances in the Senior Academy side, whilst in 2008 Luke has played an integral role in the Reserves successful run to the end of season play-offs.
A centre, with good attacking skills and sound defence, Luke trained with the first grade team during the 2008 pre-season; a period culminating in pre-season friendly appearances against both London Skolars and Celtic Crusaders
