Post subject:  Writing for fun

In 1988 I started to write a novel that combined my interest in rugby league since 1947 with my working in engineering as an electrical draughtsman most of my life and being inspired by the old saying about work that "They could write a book about that place. It would be a best seller"
The first place that I worked was BICC. (British Insulated Callenders Cables) until 1965 but known in Prescot as the Biggest Individual Collection of Comedians.
I have now written six novels and have thoroughly enjoyed doing it. I have also talked with many rugby league fans about this too. Some have told me that they would love to do what I have done but would need help. Others said they have relatives and neighbours who could tell a good tale based on their own life tool.
Good news then for all of them
I have also written three pages of advice advising how to get started. If this interests you then E Mail me at wgeofflee@gmail.com and I'll send you them. Just mention that you read this here. My latest novel is called "Three Good Years" set between 2006 and 2008 and the title of chapter one is "The Jehovah's Widnes"
