For any rugby league fans looking for a nice Christmas present for under £10, the novel "Three Good Years" comes highly recommended (by me!) It is set between 2006 and 2008 in a fictional town called Ashurst which is a couple of miles north of Widnes with a background of Work, Family Life, Saving the NHS and Rugby League.
