Hopefully are under 21 academy lads will step up and we can spend more on big players and save money on our own products where others will have to use up cap on full squad!

Bit of a shock, suppose we'll be a bit restricted, but from what we keep hearing there is a clearout in the not too distant future anyway. I suppose it encourages our development of the yoof. Talking of which, I would like to see young Mulally get a bench place at the start of next season on a few occasions.

an atmosphere that isn't created by people in matching shirts clapping along to a drum or novelty PA music might be nice!

Pressumably if the club had say players contract on 2+ yr deals and his lead to being close to or near the new cap the could use the dispensation clause and spend more??

'There are other dispensations available by application to the RFL’s Registrations & Salary Cap Manager whereby a club may agree certain relaxations to the salary cap limits (as was the case previously).'

Aye, I'd like to think that is what it means, but it probably has more to do with clubs like Gateshead and Toulouse.

Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”

There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair
with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back!

That's as i understand it. We signed up our key players to two year contracts in June.

IMO that shouldn't be allowed, as Halifax KNEW that this was being discussed and was likely that the cap would go down so IMO it should be classed as bad amangement to hand out new deals ahead of this!

PLayers already on 2 years beofre this season should be ok as it wasn't up for discussion! Those signed after say March / April knew what was around the corner!

So we be part time fully now and hope our academy players are decent.Think this cap for every team except widnes, leigh, halifax and barrow.Batley could win the league now.But hopefully our good youth development programme will help us more.Lets hope we get a franchise now otherwise rfl can love off.

Dumb dumb dumb. If clubs cant generate enough money thats there fault but why punish Fax, Widnes and Barrow? How can teams build for SL when you have such a small wage? Why not a percentage of your income-would then give an incentive to clubs to do more to bring money in. The RFL are making a mockery of the game and slowly I am losing interest in the game as its just being run by a bunch of knobs who have no idea.

and yours barrow and widnes large wage bill has got you where

equall on points with haven whos wage will be at least a third less,

widnes are already making noises about cutting cost and barrow chairman only last week said he cant continue to pump money in with out other income streams, no doubt the fax BOD will be thinking along the same lines and this will be good news to them as they now have an excuse not to sign all the supposed best players

Proud to be NL1

Surely Haven near enough at cap aswell? Basing this on fact you had a transfer emabrgo placed on you so you couldn't break it that was only lifted recently?
