Is this programme ever available to listen to on BBC I-player? I can never find it listed anywhere. BBC Manch always repeat their RL prog.

Apparently he's on Manchester's RL prog tonight.

Been told that Merseyside's RL review is never available on iPlayer but Manchester's is always repeated.

He was on Radio Manchester last night. Highlights:-

- 'Never' is a long time in terms of Richie Myler playing for widnes
- widnes have a 5 year lease on the Halton Stadium
- Cull is doing a great job
- Always looking to bring in new players but the decision is down to Cullen to select and O'Connor to negotiate
- Committed to seeing widnes through to their next franchise application

As always, he came across excellently - although referring to Halifax winger Worrency as the 'coloured lad' might be a bit 1984 Only Fools and Horses for some people's tastes.

Hmmm... sounds very short tem don't it! i.e. if don't get in SL next time round sounds as he could leave and lease would need renewing by someoner else :?

Yea that aint the best phrase to use is it  yet hopefully no-one bangs on about it!

To be fair he could have used a phrase from Alf Garnett.

TF and the wire said of the Widnes Vikings....Best in the World.

A pint and a fight - A great British night.

Trevor Hunt picked up on that and said that fans might be alarmed and would prefer a 90 year lease - O'Connor brushed it off quite well and said that the council are supportive of the club.

Thought it was a decent enough interview to be honest..

Just to address the stadium issue..on the topic of the 5 year lease it was mentioned that although this was the case the stadium really is there for a Widnes rugby team and that the council are fully on board with everything the club is doing.
I think the idea of the 5 year lease is that they have very favourable terms for the next five years and then matters will be re-considered i.e. if Widnes are in SL then a higher rent may be asked for, but there is nothing to worry about.

On the matter of FT or PT, SOC mentioned that he felt we had missed out on a few decent players as we were limited on what we could pay taking the FT players into account. This was something that would be thought about ahead of next year

It was absolutely made clear that PC is being fully backed and that he will continue to dig his hands into his pockets and that the moral at the club is on the up. He said that the club had been through the thick of it but we were now out the other side.

It was also interesting to hear that he went to the Fax Barrow game ahead of this weekends game.. He is certainly fully involved with the club and listening to him now he seems to have fully caught the bug.
