Widnes Vikings are offering season ticket holders free travel to The Shay for our Northern Rail Cup Semi-Final with Halifax on Sunday 21st June.

The Club recognise that this is our biggest game of the season to date and is looking to replicate the magnificent support at Salford in 2008 when 2,000 fans created a superb atmosphere on the night and turned The Willows into a mini Stobart Stadium, Halton.

Victory at Halifax will see us just eighty minutes away from ticking one of the boxes in our quest for Super League in 2012 and we believe our fans can provide vital support as we tackle the in-form team of the competition.

Buses will leave Widnes at 12.30pm, returning immediately after the game, and travel is free for season ticket holders with non-season ticket holders able to take advantage of a discounted price of £3.

Places are limited and bookings can be made via the Club from 10am on Wednesday morning where travel tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis. Proof of being a 2009 season ticket holder must be shown at the time of booking to take advantage of the free travel offer.

Unfortunately we are unable to take bookings for unaccompanied children under 16.

Sponsorship of a coach is just £250, please contact the Club for details of the sponsorship package

Good idea, and hopefully will convince a few of the stay aways to go, however I can't help but feel maybe this kind of initiative should have been used a long time before now. But good on SOC and Bonney etc be nice to take around the 7-800 mark, if anyone else thinks that is a realistic enough figure considering how things are pannin out on tyhe paddock at the moment. I do the likes of Alan Rae, Doreen and independant etc don't lose a lot of business though. That would be a genuine shame

I thought it was us yorkshire folk that were tight!

Good gesture from your club, should be a very good crowd and a good game.

FAX will play Widnes Vikings in the semi-final of the Northern Rail Cup on Sunday June 21 after the other tie between Barrow and Featherstone was selected for television.
Admission prices for the game will be the same as they were for the Leigh quarter final match - £14 for adults, £9 for concessions and £5 for juniors, although junior season ticket holders will be admitted free.

Fax will be hoping for a bumper crowd after more than 3,000 turned up for a televised league clash between the sides at the Shay earlier this season. Widnes are offering travel to their fans and are believed to have filled six coaches already.

Why? Its a shared gate, so widnes would not allow a reduction in entrance fee, surely. Please expand why its cheeky.

Why is a cheek to charge £14?

What is the price to pay on the gate at your stadium?

On to the the 7th coach now, already 6 full and they will get to 10 then put up to another 5 on if demand is enough.

15 coaches from Widnes would be awesome, Widnes invades Halifax!
