Have Widnes won a game since Cullen took over the coaching role?

Yes we beat Sheffield last week..... next

There isnt a lot of difference between Halifax and Widnes and another very close result tonight. Had the Wildbore try stood as it should have done we would have kicked on and won that game.

Love a brew.

Agreed. We have half the first team out injured and have alot of youth at the moment. We came close tonight considering, hopefully we will find some form when the likes of morrison, mills, kohe love and bannister are back.

Linesman said it was a forward pass according to Radio Mersyside

Paterson is also missed but you cant make excuses as Halifax had some missing too.

Sounded a very good game and one which shows we are progressing under Cullen but still lack that killer instinct near the line.

Love a brew.

What would a linesman know about rugby league?

Thats a big shout from someone who wasn't even at the game! Couldn't tell from my position whether it was forward or not. One things for certain even if it had been given I wouldn't have writen us off, we don't know when were beaten these day.

Things can change so fast in Rugby League so dont go counting all your chickens just yet. Remember Widnes have been in a similar position before so we know what this is like. Another improved performance tonight and things are coming together nicely. It sounded a good effort on the radio and they were just as stumped as to why the linesman give a forward pass.

Not counting any chickens here.

The radio commentary team probably sit on halfway so not the best position to call it from.

I know Widnes have been in a similar position to ourselves, I stand by the fact that our team never knows when it's beaten though, look at last year, losing by 26 at Leigh, come back to win, 18 points down at fev, come back to win, 14 points down against yourselves, come back to draw. One things for certain I think every Widnes fan would swap our start of the season for theirs.
