Harks back to the year Cas went up..............

Get a few people back and once Cullen gets a good month behind him we'll be fine. Looked clueless on attack at times but that will come good, thought Kavanagh and Gannon were our best on the night and Duffy was busy without being great. Very early days yet and we will do them at home. Not impressed by the chav element of Halifax and the constant scouser chants (change the record please).

Still bless em.

I agree its very early doors but it does have to be remembered that in 2006 Hull KR didn't lose a league match until top spot was assured and in 2007 Castleford only lost 1 match (which in itself was a massive shock). Even last year, where Salford weren't even that good, they only lost 3 games.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that traditionally in this league, one team goes clear and loses very few games. If the same happens this year its going to be very difficult to compete - you simply have to go to places like Halifax and get the win if you want to top the division. Even though we were proper rubbish in the 1st half and very lucky to even be in the game, by the end of the 2nd half, I was a bit disappointed we didn't manage to win it and it feels a bit like a wasted opportunity. There can't really be any more slip ups and if we do want to win the division, we have to go to the likes of Barrow, Whitehaven, Featherstone and Leigh and get the wins. I suppose with the play-off system, finishing top isn't the be all and end all but I wouldn't have thought that SO'C or Cullen would be thinking like that.

The chavs were very annoying.

I thought they had a cheek - they didn't make a sound in the 2nd half until they scored with a few minutes left - cue "Shall we sing a song for you"

Is there any need for homophobia, really? YSB

Anyhow, in all seriousness, Halifax-Widnes was one of the best matches of Rugby I watched anywhere last season, in terms of ability and entertainment. Had to miss this evening's clash of the titans, due Warrington Hospital not having Sky Sports on the Wards, but by all accounts, both sides showed up quite well for so early on in the season, so I shall keep the eyes peeled for the repeats.

Did Moz take The Flag, btw?

I think this year will be too close for clubs to only lose 2 or 3 matches, there will be a good scrap for the top I recon.

As for 'Cullen Out', I hardly think that the Cullen influence lost us that match. I think it was more about missing first team players and having a bad run out in the first 20. Far too many penalties given against us for my liking.

If only the second half counted we could have won. Having said that I think Fax being part time showed during the latter stages, they looked tired towards the end.

dont really know where you were stood there was plenty of atmosphere. when we were defending those repeat sets in the second half there was plenty of noise.
