Ive just got home from the match now, halifax to ispwich is a long way lol.
shocking performance tonight, when is the club going to start moving forward on the pitch. They had their first big test of the season and failed with flying colours. gifted halifax 12 points with two soft tries, kicked the ball out on the full on kick off. just shocking all round, if halifax where more match fit the defeat would have been bigger the bombed so many chances. widnes had so many sets of six camped on the try line but could'nt get over, the attacking play was poor. One man rugby does not work, when the ball got wide it was too slow. inside balls to gannon will not do anything he was never going to break the line or power over from short range. Widnes need to have a good look at themselves and sort it out..
I actually went the game instead of sitting at home watchin it on sky i think i made the wrong decision. 50 quid in petrol 14 quid to get in and 9 hours drivin time... money down the drain. My last thought is how bad the ref was on both sides some really bad decisions..

Comments please....

Had a fair bit of money on you winning tonight. I really fancied you to turn a very good Halifax side over but you just did not turn up. Good luck for the rest of the year.

it wasnt cause you had bad attacking options it was just our dafence had its best game i have seen for a while.

it was good defence as well as poor options.

Shambles my booty. Hard game, never got into our stride really, but these things happen. Good Fax team, but they do look beatable... we need more upfront though. Stop all this 'no pride' nonsense, otherwise its going to be a loooong season.

we are always beatable but the way we play that is always going to be the case

the defence was the best aspect of our game tonight

the attack there were a lot of mistakes like every other week but we will get better.

I won't call you mate for driving 9 hours. That is a good effort, especially on a Thursday night.

This is history. This is history. Right here. Right now. This is history.

I thought it was Widnes?
All games are winnable, whats hard to understand about that.

Wakefield turn over a big club every season and i see no reason why Widnes can't do the same.
