Had a call today to say that Frank Tobin has died.
He joined the club as a trainer in the late 1940s and later became the physio, finally retiring in 1984. He was a life member of the club.
A great servant to the club and a lovely, lovely man.
RIP
This is why events unnerve me.

Very sad news. Frank Tobin was, as you said, a lovely man.

RIP.
A true servant of the club and town in every sense of the word. A sad loss to the club and the town.
This is history. This is history. Right here. Right now. This is history. I thought it was Widnes?
All games are winnable, whats hard to understand about that. Wakefield turn over a big club every season and i see no reason why Widnes can't do the same.
RIP Frank
Condolences to his family

Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back! Oooh-to… Oooh-to-be… Oooh-to-be-a… WOOLY!

Legend and gentleman. Lets hope the club do something fitting.
RIP fella
an atmosphere that isn't created by people in matching shirts clapping along to a drum or novelty PA music might be nice!
