He's removed his comment and apologised, we were all hot headed the days after the game but he's been honest enough to respond and communicate with the fans.

To be honest, I still think Wildbore could end up being a fans favourite. He wouldn't have won the awards he did last year if he was no good. It appears he's took the brunt of the fans frustration because he was the one who decided to make his own frustrations public and disrespect the name of the club. One of the worst things a player can do is say they don't want to wear the shirt anymore - even though it appears he has now retracted that statement.

No player is in sparkling form and no doubt if things don't improve a few more negative things will be said about players. However, IMO Loz hasn't been that bad and the only things I can remember seeing about Loz was that a few weeks ago people said he was selfish with the ball - hardly abuse. Providing Widnes can turn it round then I'm sure Loz will be amongst our strongest performers.

I simply told him in response to his public facebook statements about not wanting to be at the club, that he should pack his bags and leave. I shouldn't have said anything in hindsight but the whole weekend performance on top of those statements has angered me. I suggest you go back to your own board and stop commenting on stuff you know nothing about.

As it happens I had quite an interesting discussion with Loz following that. He also said that comments made on message boards were extremely distracting for the players and the fans attitude is having an effect. I said he and the players shouldn't be reading the forums and concentrate on their own game. He also claims that Widnes is a great club and that he will put in 100% every time. He also finds it ridiculous that Cullen is getting so much stick so soon into the job. He's sacrificing a lot to play for Widnes apparently, days off work, time away from family etc.. He's far from perfect, particularly as he is by his own admission hot headed. However he seems an honest player who wants to succeed and wants the club to succeed.

On that note, I'm going to refrain from reading some of the bullshit on here and other forums and inflaming it further with my own angered posts. I suggest others do the same and that posts slating individual players are removed, including posts about sacking players. I think some of us (myself included) need to realise the damage the constant barrage of non-constructive criticism and abuse is going to cause between us and the players who clearly have issues of their own they need to sort as a team.

If you've got nothing positive to say. Bite your tongue and don't say anything. Players do read these forums whether they should be or not and it really isn't going to help them this season if the abuse keeps up.[/img]

Fair enough, I'll take back what I said about him earlier in the thread. (But it's a £50 fine for looking at the messageboards!)

There was a post on TIW about the forum being a bad thing. I agree to some extent that it is but we as Widnes fans are spoilt with the success we've had and the legacy of 1989 and the expectations of the fans is one of if not the most in British RL.

I'm not a fan of this "Sky Sports Era" as I like to call it, everyone is a pundit, everyone is an analyst, everyone picks the team, everyone has a say in how the club should be run whereas 10-15 years ago it was a few blokes in the pub having a craic. Now the impact of people' opninions - good, bad or ugly has far greater consequences than it did 10 years ago.

This is history. This is history. Right here. Right now. This is history.

I thought it was Widnes?
All games are winnable, whats hard to understand about that.

Wakefield turn over a big club every season and i see no reason why Widnes can't do the same.
The day we got the knock back from SL has ripped the heart out of the club.

We have been unable to pick up all the pieces.

Plenty of effort from clubs in this league has made it tough and fingers crossed we will re build soon

Lets hope our patiance does not get too tested

Some of the stick the players have received this season at the games you'd think we were world champions two years ago not twenty. We should refrain from the abuse and that includes Lee Doran as long as he stops tackling like a puff and stops the great penalty giveaway.

TF and the wire said of the Widnes Vikings....Best in the World.

A pint and a fight - A great British night.

It’s all a tad pathetic really! Loz has signed for the biggest club in this league! (No disrespect to Fax as they prob the best club!) so he can’t expect to walk straight into the side yet if he works hard he’ll get the game time and he has been in the 17 every time available!

If he is only part time on little money why not sign for Cas? I bet he’s on more than you think! And once a week? Rochdale train more than that!

I was happy with his signing and he has put in good performances but so far his ‘hot head’ has been a liability for us… fact! Same as Doran, good player to many penalties and until he / the team starts running in / creating tries for fun the penalties will be what get noted!

What he did on facebook was daft, but you can understand maybe frustration but then what fan’s write on messgaeboards is only the same? Players friend s & family should really stay off messageboards as they are never gonna like them and will often pick out only bad comments and bread negativity! Why go on? Just to fill your ego if fan’s love you, but moan if they don’t? Messageboards are only there for people to moan tbh, hardly anyone bother to go on just to praise people, whereas people like to get a whinge out of there system!

I suggest Loz put’s the effort in plays wherever PC tell’s him too as he’s a Widnes player and turns opinions around with good professional performances rather than blaming fan’s and looking for support! The team are playing poor this year and on whole the fans are still behind them but you can hardly blame voices of discontent the way the lads have been performing can you?

Widnes fans are very fickle unfortunately and they will turn once performances do!

That post is ridiculous, I read the forums because I am a rugby league fan. I am also interested in peoples opinions of the games and seeing if people have the same opinion. Friends and family do not see something completely different, we all watch the same game even if not Widnes through and through.
