You may have a bigger squad but is it any better than ours? I'm not sure.

As for being fulltime, the extra recovery time is bound to be a bonus to yourselves. What we've got is team spirit and a willingness to put bodies on the line for eachother....fulltime training can only develop that so far as it has to come from within.

no our squad isn't better than yous Ben Black new that when he decded to stay at fax instead of signing for widnes when he had the chance

Speaking to my grandparents who sat in the Skircoat Stand said your disallowed try didn't look forward so that part was unlucky.

I think we just deserved to win but you played a lot better this time, we both had players out and it will be a real ding dong affair if we play each other full strength.

Even if you were sat in the section of skircoat stand nearest the south stand, you would still be quite a way behind the point that the ball was passed so would struggle to tell if it was forward or not.

Considering that the linesman himself was struggling desperately to keep up with play I would say that even he didn't have a good view of it... advantage should be given to the attacking side.

What is done is done though and nothing can change that now..

Over the last two games I think we have improved a little.. not sure that we saw anything new from Halifax (not that they needed to) but we are still way short of our potential.

One of the other posters from Halifax hit the nail on the head with his assessment that we didn't offer too much in attack but I'm certain this will change.

You can normally tell whether a decision is right by the reaction of the oppositions fans, didnt hear too many complaints when the ball was placed over the line.

It looked at times that all the officials struggled to keep up - specially Silverwood with the restarts for both teams - thought he would be used to the game being played at speed with him being a Superleague ref.

I have never understood this argument that the players are not "The Coach's Players".
We have a very good squad of players and it should not be too hard to form a winning team. If you look throughout the league we have probably the strongest squad along with Fax.
We have not been bullied by Halifax in either outing and if we had been better at converting possession into points then we would have won and probably comfortably.
Halifax defended well but they have so far only had to contend with 'the inside ball' or one of our forwards running straight into three defending forwards or the teasing and often disappointing kick through the line.
With the players we have at our disposal we should be offering more which I think will come.

Got to agree that your attack is not that good. In both games the options were just so predictable that it was easy for us to defend against but then again in Thackery and Duffy you have two `masters` of the inside ball so im guessing for most of your season thats how you will be attacking.
Also ive got to say that so far this season Fax`s attack has been very average to say the least and another performance like that on Thursday could easily see Baterlee cause an upset.
