The season is far from over. What we do need is things changing and from the the training to the captaincy, first of all the team need to train as a squad more than they are doing now with emphasis on moving the ball across the park with confidence instead of this five barges and a kick. Also defence need to sharpened up we are abissmal defendin our line when the opposition are in our 20 metre area. Also did anyone notice last night when webster scored his 1st try that when smithy was giving out the captains chat to the team webby was not taking any notice to what he was saying as he was over getting a drink off the water carrier.Smithys captaincy is not working as he as the say so of what happens on the pitch when we cross that white line.
Give the captaincy to webster and let him lead us around the park as he as been there and suceeded. If we had a different game plan than what we have now we would not need our wingers doing the donkey work of driving the ball in 1st 2nd and sometime 3rd tackles. We just might start with going in with the our bigger players and maybe spreading the ball and catching teams out instead of being so predictable.
We need a little general that will lead us around the park and it as been so long since we have had a decent scrum half, lets get rid of the predictable play that we have churned out for the last few seasons and play some expansive rugby, when haven scored there last try last night and there was 4 minutes left on the clock i knew it was game over for us as we dont know how to break teams down with a bit of something different it would be drive it up the middle and see if something happens.

Some interesting comments about Webster, i have heard from numerous people that he is a bad influence but it might be the case that people should be listening to him rather than ignoring him and casting him as an outsider. Maybe taking the captains armband away from Smithy will allow him to purley concentrate on the hooking role rather than trying to carry all leadership on his shoulders. We have to remember that Webster has done it tough with Hull KR many years back and has learnt a great deal in seeing the overhall of a small club into the potential giants that they now are.
