GF aspirations may have gone now, if they hadn't already.

Think we'd have to finish a bare minimum of third to reach the GF, which is looking all the more unlikely.

Our fans flap after every defeat though a defeat on Thursday will put a big dent in our GF aspirations.

Penny we can certainly cope without although he has been excellent for us, Paddy Flynn has really laid down the marker since his return. It's Pickersgill that concerns me most as he really added his weight and more to the pack.

For me it all really depends on the fitness of Morrison, Fletch and Toa over the coming weeks. If we can get them fit and avoid any more injuries we're still well in with a shout.

Even without Pickersgill our pack is a much tougher unit than earlier in the season.

Remember it was only 10 days ago we were creaming ourselves over the trouncing of 'fax. This team still has a lot of skill and power, Cullen just has to get the best out of what he's got available now.

Exactly, in a game that Flynn bagged a hat trick and Picks started on the bench.

I've said for a while now that the loss of Penny is nothing to get too worked up about and I'm glad that it gives Flynn a go. Hopefully Penny might realise that it is better to be playing than to sit in his tracksuit running on to give the lads a drink of water and come back next year

Pickersgil is a bit more of a loss especially if we have Morrison and Fletcher missing for the next couple of games..

Either way.. lets do what we do best and blame McCormack for putting the original team together in the first place and leaving us in this situation.

Exactly, somebody told me throughout the week that we had Pickers nailed on for 2010, ie permanant deal, But hey ho such is life. I do feel it still may happen though. Like you say Morro and Flecth are key and without them our pack lacks depth and go forward, something Picks has added over the past 6-7 weeks, a bit gutted tbh. Feel as though KP would really have benefited from another few weeks and who knows, chance of a Grand final place, let's face there is more chance of Widnes winning the cup in 2010 than there is of KP starting at Wembley.

PS BTW IET really impressed with that blog in your sig. 8)

an atmosphere that isn't created by people in matching shirts clapping along to a drum or novelty PA music might be nice!

Both of them I'm told today.....NO straws to be clutched I'd say, they're gone.

Sadly, this was always likely to happen. It's a good job we won the NRC isn't it?

Hopefully we won't be in this position next season and PC will have recruited a squad that won't need to loan 4 SL players.

I think we have cover for Penny, but Pickersgill will be missed, especially with injuries to other key forwards.

Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”

There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair
with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back!

Oooh-to… Oooh-to-be… Oooh-to-be-a… WOOLY!

How has Penny looked for you in terms of speed? when he bust on the scene any gap and he was gone, he looks abit more bigger muscle wise now, just wondered if he still has that pace?
