Don't get the council with the HS you know! Yes they can bring Everton in and use it's function rooms etc but take Rugby out and you left with two rooms being used twice a week, with no gate reciepts!

Should just sell it to club and keep rights on using function rooms IMO, makes Widnes RLFC more valuable and stronger in terms of going for a franchise as well!

I think the 5 year lease is a good idea for both the club and council. As IET has said it gives the 2 parties a chance to re-negotiate as the gates and circumstances go up or down.

Wasn't a big problem for the previous owners that when we dropped out of SL the rent stayed the same.
